  1. How does the service work?
    If a child is wearing our Tracelet™ and becomes lost, it will make it easier for anyone finding the child to help reunite the child with the person responsible for their care. The Tracelet™ has a toll-free number on it, as well as a unique security code. When the person finding a child telephones our call center, they will be asked to provide the code to the operator. Our operator will enter the code into a database and will then have access to the appropriate contact information to contact the child's guardian and arrange to reunite the guardian with the child.  [Back To Top]

  3. What is involved in registering for the service?
    After entering the security code that accompanied your kit, you will be prompted to provide certain information that would be required to contact you in case your child is found by a third party.   [Back To Top]

  4. How secure is the information I am providing?
    The information that you provide is very secure, as all details are held on a secure database. The data is encrypted and no unauthorized person can access your family account. KidSafe Connection's access to your information is only made available to the people who can help you in the event your child is lost and then found by a third party.   5. Who will be able to see my family details?
    Only you can access and make changes to your family details by entering your user name and password. In the event of an emergency, your family details can be only accessed by you or our authorized personnel. Furthermore, only you can direct information to be sent to another party.  [Back To Top]

  6. Why is it important that I keep my family's details up to date?
    It is vital that all available details are current, because in the event your child is lost, this gives KidSafe Connection operators and other relevant people the most accurate information to best assist in searching, locating, caring for and returning your child. A recent photograph and description will help people search. Medical information, contact details and travel plans should be regularly updated.   [Back To Top]

  7. Why is the security code important?
    For security reasons, you must provide your security code if you ever need to call us for any reason. Your family details are held on a secure database; therefore, you need to provide it to allow these details to be made available to the people who can help you. In addition, if somebody finds your child, your security code number will allow our call center operators to confidentially access your contact details.  [Back To Top]

  8. How do I get a photograph onto the system?
    You can upload an image directly from your own computer into your account (please follow the instructions upon registering).   [Back To Top]

  9. Is it easy to update the photograph?
    Yes, and we recommend that you do this regularly, a minimum of once a year, per child. You would merely add a new photograph in the same manner as you did the original, and the new photograph will overwrite the existing one.  [Back To Top]

  10. How would I create a missing flyer for a missing child?
    There are two ways to create a flyer. We have provided a template for creating a flyer, so you can create it either by going into your online account and pressing the 'add/edit-missing flyer' button on the site, which will take you through some basic questions, such as when and where was the child last seen. Alternatively, if you do not have access to the internet, you can contact us at 800.601.0975.
